You will find a friendly community of nearly 40,000 dedicated dog owners and ethical purebred breeders in every state of Australia and 49 other countries who are passionate about promoting responsible dog ownership and breeding excellence in purebred dogs.

We assist members in demonstrating that achieving a high standard of dog breeding, ownership, and care is possible without sacrificing the well-being of dogs. Membership provides access to educational resources, support, and tools to help improve our members’ knowledge and practices and make positive changes in the canine community.

We encourage a desire within the general community to choose our members over others in their field by increasing public awareness of the MDBA, our members and their dogs. We have been recognised and accepted by Australian State Regulatory bodies that can provide benefits to our members.

MDBA breeder members are able to provide, beautifully presented, certified registered pedigrees to their puppy buyers and enrol them for free access to the Smart Dog Owners Club as a reward for choosing an MDBA member to purchase their dogs from.

The MDBA provides a free directory service for members to advertise their kennels, their dogs, their puppies, and general goods on the MDBA website, member discounts and opportunities for attendance and participation at member social events, dog-related events, seminars, title programs and courses that provide the opportunity to gain canine breeding, animal care, training and husbandry knowledge and credentials.
